TABANAN, BALI – The work of Gayatri Widya Mandala Foundation in providing care and social support for children in Tabanan has received media attention.

Gayatri Widya Mandala Foundation Began with a Simple Act of Care

The journey began with concern for a child who was struggling to pay school fees.

That initial act of care gradually grew. From helping one child, the initiative expanded as more children needed support and care.

Eventually, the social initiative developed into an established child care organization. The foundation was officially established as a legal entity in 2014.

Today, the foundation provides care for approximately 33 children and 9 babies.

In addition to providing residential child care, the foundation has also developed a daycare service for the general public.

The program operates using a cross-subsidy model. As a result, the daycare service also helps support the needs of children living under its care.

In 2026, the organization also began developing therapy services for children with special needs.

These services are available not only to children supported by the foundation but also to members of the wider community.

The organization currently operates with the support of approximately 19 staff members and freelance workers. In addition, contributions from donors help sustain its various social programs.
